We flew through Tianjin on our way back from Kuala Lumpur and stayed a night here before returning to Beijing.  With nothing but Chinese food on the books for the next several weeks, I decided to go for the club sandwich for a last treat… unfortunately, it wasn’t what I was hoping for. It’s hard to say a lot of good things about this club; while the Renaissance Tianjin clearly knows the ingredients, the whole sandwich was poorly done. From poor bacon, to an extremely small slice of tomato, to a weak piece of turkey, all topped with too much mayonnaise and your stereotypical poolside toothpick. French fries were nice and I definitely needed to fill up on them after this weak club, while the mayonnaise on top of shredded lettuce paired with some cucumber turned this club into a distinctally Chinese meal. This club was a let down.
