Le Parc, Domaine Les Crayères, Reims, France
L'art de vivre
Category: Hotel, In-RoomEnjoyed via in-room dining from Le Parc at Domaine Les Creyes.
4 nights and 3 days in Reims… exploring the Champagne region with kids required the use of a centrally located property with a concierge team deeply experienced with activities and restaurants in the area, able to make arrangements on a wymm.
We chose the 20 room Domaine Les Crayères for an experience never to forget, one that would allow our family to all relax together, explore the area, and pamper ourselves in quintessential French art de vivre, while enjoying some of the best breakfast dining in the country (included in our stay!).
A 3 key Michelin star hotel, Domaine Les Crayères also boasted a 2 star Michelin restaurant, Le Parc. This property was truly the fanciest bed and breakfast I’ll ever stay at. Le Parc served our breakfast each day – a simple yet elegant, white glove meal I will never forget – and also provided room service for select items. One of those items was their smoked salmon club sandwich.
On our last day in Reims, after exploring the city center but before embarking on a mission to visit La Cave aux coquillages, we needed to pack up… and we needed lunch while packing. Room service it was, and with a quick call to the front desk, salads, shrimps, and the smoked salmon club were on the way to room, along with a lovely glass of champagne to compliment the meal.
Precision crafted and well layered, with fresh ingredients and subtle flavors that enhanced the high-quality smoked salmon, Le Parc’s club sandwich is a perfectly executed masterpiece in simple yet impactful hand-food. A smile beamed across my face with each bite down, as I enjoyed the melody crafted by one of France’s most coveted Michelin chefs.
The side salad and bread with butter – my goodness, this was on another level. Simple, elegant, and oh so delicious. Well done all around!!
We finished packing, ate everything on the table, and went on an adventure into the Champagne countryside.
