Enjoyed via in room dining at Raffles Boston Hotel in the heart of the Back Bay.

A staycation at Raffles Boston should be on everyone’s Back Bay bucket list. The property – and team managing it – exudes luxury, comfort, and warm vibes. There is no other property in Greater Boston that compares. The investment made into Raffles Boston to create this experience is visible around every corner, element, and conversation, and it warmed our hearts to be at the hotel, enjoying a suite, and simply relaxing for a night away without the kids.

We had dinner plans, but that didn’t quell my desire to order room service. Did we need food at 5:30pm while getting ready? How could we resist.  Salad, tuna tartare, and what is this… a club sandwich?

Yes please!

I ordered our meal, added on a cocktail for me and mocktail for Rachel, and got ready, my appetite growing in anticipating of the Raffles club sandwich. Accor brands generally produce top clubs, so I was eager to see the creation this property plated.

Incredible bread, almost life changing, a signature aspect of this club sandwich and most likely the pride of whoever is baking in the kitchen – kudos to the team, or individual, who created this wonderfully fluffy, crispy, highly textured, buttery and salty, carbohydrate, just spectacular.

Bacon was excellent, thick cut with less fat than you’d expect. Chicken was as moist as one could make a solid chunk of breast be. Tomato as ripe as they come in Boston in winter.

This was a solid club sandwich, plated well, and quite filling, with one major pet peeve: it was so thick, I found it hard to fit the entire meal into my mouth in one bite! Stll, I got over that concern, and consumed the entire club sandwich, thoroughly enjoying every bite, every morsel, especially the divine bread!

The side salad was a lovely, healthy touch, and I left for dinner fairly full, very content, and eager to head back for the night and further enjoy our stay at Raffles Boston.
